Oscar Fraustro began his professional golfing career at a very young age, working his way up to become Rookie of the Year and pioneer in the PGA Latin America. He has represented Mexico internationally and has stood out at Web.com and PGA tours. Now, Fraustro joins Cancun Golf Events as an ambassador and his accomplishments will just keep coming.

A story destined to success.

Oscar Fraustro was born on June 14, 1982, in Mexico City. When he was 4 years old, his family moved to Chihuahua, where he eventually tried golf out of curiosity before it became his grand passion. So much so, that he got a golf scholarship at the University of South Florida.

From 2003 until 2005 he was the top ranked amateur golfer in Mexico. He got to represent Mexico in several international tournaments, including the World Cup in Puerto Rico. In 2006 he was named Rookie of the Year at the Mexican Tour and began playing at the Gateway Tour, the Asian Tour and many other events around the world. In 2012, Oscar won the Order of Merit at the Mexico Tour by playing in 7 events, of which he won 3 and was the runner up in 2.

During the launch of the PGA Tour Latin America, Fraustro won the Dominican Republic Open, ensuring his place at the Web.com Tour, the step prior to becoming the sixth Mexican player to enter the PGA Tour.

Oscar Fraustro began 2019 with an outstanding performance at the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic, a solid start of what seems to be a great year full of accomplishments.
